After 2 terms of teaching the core values of Our Place to Grow- community, growth and self worth we had a celebration sharing assembly. The whole school and parents came together to share examples of thier work and their understanding of the words. The local press wrote an article on it too.This was good to share our values with the wider community through visiting arents and the press. Below are some photos of some of the things shared. They varied from drama, digital books, song, power points, murals, paintings, movies... a whole vartiety. Our new school logo was also launched.
The children were obviously proud of what they had accomplished and listened and watched with intent to find out what other classes had done. There was a sence of the school coming together as one under the same values and beliefs which shows a deep understanding of what those words mean to West gore school children.

Incorporating our Key comps into our daily program can be seen in different ways in different classes. As seen on the curriculum page alot of work outside the classroom has been done in how to encorporte the key comps into our program. Syndicate planning meetings at the end of term 2 led to specific goals being chosen for the term. Below are photos of how different classes have chosen to implement these so they are woven into all areas of the curriculum.

The children add photos and comments to the wall when they think they are achieving the goal in each of our key comp areas
Other classes have had new ideas of how to show this. Some have used buckets with the goal on an dthe children draw pics or are given little certificates to go in ech bucket. they are then taken out and talked about and stuck in reflection journals.,
Each child is keeping a reflection journal with our 4 areas in it as a recored of learning an growing in the key comps.
